Parcent
Historia
The name of Parcent appears the first time in a written document called "Llibre del Repartiment". It was a moorish manor and later Barony with Benigembla and Bernica. In the XVIIIth Century, it was under the noble regime control of the Count of Parcent. In this town, Gabriel Minó wrote his literary work "Del Vivir".

- Parish church of the Purisima Concepción with a singular belfry ended towards 1929 and restored in 1949.

Economy
The economy is dynamic, the main activities of the population are:
- Agriculture, mainly the irrigated citrus crops because of the presence of underground caudal in this place.
- Construction and services sectors. Both have been helped by the growth of the residential tourism.
Feast days and events
- In January, San Antonio Abad.
- Patron saint's day in honour to San Lorenzo, to the Holy Christ of the Faith and to Divina Aurora. From 9th to 17th August. Popular open-air dances, bullfighting festivals and "cordaes" (consisting basically of people lighting and setting off huge rockets within an enclosed area).
- A street market (March).
- In duly, popular and religious festivals in honour. to the Sacred Heart and to San Cristobal .
